Senior Production Engineer (Electronics Bias)

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Production Engineer with electronics/test bias to work with bridge Engineering and Production teams, designing test equipment, developing test plans, and driving process improvements. You’ll support operations through in-process sub-assembly testing, LRU/RMA validation, fault‑finding, and technical problem‑solving to enhance build quality and minimise delays.
Key Responsibilities
* Interface between Engineering and Production to define in-process testing requirements
* Design/develop test equipment, jigs, fixtures and procurement support
* Create detailed test plans/procedures ensuring quality and customer requirements
* Provide electrical/test support to resolve production issues and reduce rework
* Implement process improvements, cost reductions and continuous improvement initiatives
* Fault‑find electromechanical equipment and perform root cause analysis
* Support quality investigations, staff training and CR implementation
* Occasional customer travel for technical support
What We’re Looking For – Essential
* 5+ years’ experience in test/engineering environment (degree/HND desirable)
* Strong knowledge of testing electrical/electromechanical equipment
* Excellent ability reading complex technical drawings (wiring diagrams, PCB schematics)
* Proficient computer skills and clear communication (verbal/written)
Desirable
* Staff supervision/mentoring experience
* LabVIEW software knowledge
* PLC programming
* CAD software experience
* Digital camera/video protocols
