Contract Management and Partner Delivery (CMPD) has overall responsibility for the effective contract management of external suppliers delivering specialist services for our most vulnerable customers, including those who are disabled, have health conditions or are in long term unemployment. This includes performance management, continuous improvement and ensuring every payment made to an external provider is a valid one. We are also directly responsible for the delivery, through Local Authorities (LAs), of Housing Benefit (HB) and discretionary housing payments; for developing new IT capability to support HB delivery and supporting LA revenue and benefit teams as Universal Credit and other welfare reforms are delivered.

The successful candidates can expect to lead/ be involved in the following:
* Provide high-quality diary management and personal planning support to the Deputy Director (DD) - understanding their priorities to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of their time and engagements.
* Provide day to day support, arranging meetings, organising room bookings and ad-hoc requests and booking travel and accommodation.
* Manage highly sensitive issues, acting with diplomacy, and always maintaining strict confidentiality.
* Collaborate and engage with stakeholders both within and outside their directorate to help efficiently manage their DD’s time.
* Work closely with other colleagues in the directorate support team and Senior Leadership team.
* Provide secretariat support when required for senior leaders’ meetings, providing timely and accurate agendas, and drafting notes and actions.
* Liaise directly with internal and external colleagues and partners to deal with enquiries and to co-ordinate appointments and engagements.
* Keep up to date with changes in key external partnerships which relate to the division/area of work.
* Support the continuous improvement of processes both within and outside of their immediate responsibilities.
* Respond quickly and positively to a range of ad-hoc, often short notice requests, i.e.: requests for new information; rearranging schedule; completing returns etc.
* Lead onboarding of new members of staff in the division, supporting with recruitment, and maintaining organograms and induction packs.
* Prioritise and manage own workload.
* Provide administrative, logistical, and support to the division and cover a wide range of interesting and challenging duties in a modern, flexible and dynamic workplace.
* Travel as required in line with role and business demand.
