Job Description
We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as a Family Liaison Officer to support our children and their families.
Working across the school with staff, families and children to overcome barriers, you will help to ensure that all children are able to attend school and achieve their full potential.
As part of this role you will act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and abide by the requirements of Annex B of Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2020 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with staff, families and children to identify and remove barriers to attendance and learning.
* Provide family support and guidance.
* Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, adhering to safeguarding policies.
* Maintain professional standards, including safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience within school family liaison and carrying out the DDSL role.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Strong family support experience.
* Excellent English, numeracy and ICT competence.
* Ability to liaise with parents and professionals, offering support and challenge as appropriate.
* Independent initiative and professional behaviour.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
* Willingness to be part of a high‑performing team.
* Robust personality to manage role challenges.
