Salary: £29,500 - £30,500 (Depending on experience)

Role Overview:

This is a brilliant opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic individual to step into a leadership role within a vibrant early years setting. As Room Leader, you’ll oversee the daily operations of your designated room, lead a team of practitioners, and ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of Early Years Practitioners to deliver high-quality education and care for children aged 0–5
Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
Support the personal, social, and emotional development of all children
Maintain accurate records of children’s learning and progress
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards ️
Role model best practice and support the ongoing development of junior staff

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:

A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or a related field
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting, ideally in a supervisory or senior role ‍
In-depth knowledge of the EYFS and child development principles
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ️
A passion for early years education and a nurturing approach
A proactive, solution-focused mindset and positive attitude

Essential Requirements:

Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) or willingness to obtain one – DBS cost may be covered by the applicant.
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or related subject.
Strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge, and experience in early years settings.
