Textile Manufacturing - Production Operative - WASH AND DYE AREA THIS IS A FACTORY POSITION. THERE ARE NO REMOTE OR HOMEWORKING OPTIONS. ONLY PEOPLE WHO CAN AND WILL TRAVEL TO OUR FACTORY FOR THE INTERVIEW PROCESS AND FOR WORK WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SHORTLISTING AND INTERVIEWS. We are looking for a person to work at our Matlock Factory located in the Lea Bridge Area of Matlock. The successful applicant will work in our WASH AND DYE AREA This is a factory position in our Wash and Dye area. This area of our production is being relocated and the move also includes a significant investment in new machinery. The role includes using industrial washing machines and tumble dryers to ensure that our garments, either in part or as finished garments are washed and dyed according to specifications during the production process. The role involves inputting information into our commercial knitting machines, loading and unloading as well as sorting. There is also 'counter work'. You will be required to follow a production plan and work to standard operating procedures. This includes ensuring that quality standards are met and also using computers and hand held devices. The role involves standing, lifting, bending, twisting and considerable amounts of walking between the machines during each shift. There is regular lifting and manual handling. There is regular chemical use. Training will be provided on all operations and the safe handling and use of chemicals used during the process. You will be punctual and reliable with an eye for detail and you will be passionate about quality and our brand. This is a shift work role, however the successful candidate must be willing to move onto two shifts (Days 6am - 2pm and Noons 2pm - 10pm) on a rota basis if this required at some point in the future.
