As the range of projects that we work on grow, so does our team! We're currently looking to hire an SCM Make CAD Technician (Stencils & Dedicated Tooling) in our SCM PSP Engineered Products department at our coastal office in Weymouth. The key aim of this role is to provide technical support within the team that 'Tool Up' our customers' electronics industry production lines. You will:
1. Be responsible for customer stencil design using CAD software, working to established specifications and procedures, utilizing your technical SMT and Stencil design knowledge.
2. Evaluate customer issues, technical requirements, and printing process-related issues.
3. Communicate with customers regarding orders, design, and technical requirements of stencil orders.
4. Manage daily work and individual tasks using database and ERP systems.
5. Coordinate with internal teams regarding queries and orders.
6. Raise, investigate, and resolve internal and external non-conformances against defective stencil and tooling using GFO/TFS database.
7. Maintain 6S standards in your area, including cleaning schedules and area-specific tasks.
8. Participate in team meetings with managers and team leads to communicate any issues encountered.
We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team! A person comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate should possess:
* Proficient secondary education with a minimum of GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Maths.
* Evidence of working on own initiative with minimal supervision.
* Minimum 1-2 years of CAD stencil design experience.
* Understanding of 2D CAD design drawings.
* Experience with 2D CAD systems.
* Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
* Good attention to detail, ability to read and follow instructions.
* Ability to follow procedures within a working process.
* Flexibility to adapt to varying workloads via remote or on-site work.
* Intermediate computer skills, including good working knowledge of MS Office.
Desirable qualifications include experience in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
