Overview
The post is Monday to Friday 12.5 hours per week, 06:00 – 08:30, at Chippenham Community Hospital. We are looking for a housekeeper with a flexible approach to join our team to help ensure all areas are kept to the highest standards. Catering experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
We help keep wards, departments and areas clean, tidy and disinfected to reduce the risk of infections and support the safety and well-being of staff and patients.
Our teams provide safe, clean, well-maintained environments for patients and NHS colleagues during this challenging time. You will become part of a team that supports the NHS in its vital work by keeping premises clean and safe.
Responsibilities
* Undertake cleaning duties throughout the sites, including clinical departments, offices, sanitary and communal areas.
* Empty, clean and reline general and clinical waste bins, and segregate waste for disposal to appropriate holding areas.
* Replenish supplies of soap, toilet rolls, paper towels, etc.
* Periodic cleaning maintenance of carpets and other floor surfaces.
* Maintain departmental records where appropriate (e.g., cleaning forms, temperature sheets).
* Occasional curtain changing.
* Use all equipment and cleaning products in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.
