Job Description:
We are seeking a Trainee Dental Nurse to join our leading dental clinic in London. Located in Golders Green, NW11, our clinic has been providing expert dental care for over 42 years. We specialize in complex cases such as dental trauma, root canals, extractions, and wisdom tooth issues. Our clinic operates 24 hours and is open on weekends, serving patients from Hampstead, Hendon, St. John’s Wood, Belsize Park, West Hampstead, Kilburn, Edgware, Watford, and Golders Green.
Joining us as a Trainee Dental Nurse offers hands-on experience, working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment. We value ethical practice and donate 20% of profits to charity. Our team is UK-qualified, highly skilled, and compassionate, committed to rapid pain relief and quality treatment.
Your Role
As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you will assist dentists, hygienists, and therapists in delivering high-quality dental care. Your responsibilities include:
* Working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
* Following the British Association of Dental Nurses’ Code of Ethics and the GDC’s Scope of Practice.
* Building professional relationships within the dental team.
* Ensuring infection control and patient safety standards.
* Liaising with the practice manager regarding administration, pay, and service conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and maintaining a clean, well-equipped clinical environment.
* Carrying out infection prevention and control procedures.
* Recording dental charting and oral tissue assessments accurately.
* Maintaining detailed, up-to-date patient records securely.
* Preparing patients and equipment for radiography and processing radiographs.
* Supporting and reassuring patients during treatment.
* Providing oral health advice.
* Assisting in emergency situations to ensure safety and care.
What We’re Looking For
* Right to work in the UK (valid visa & National Insurance number).
* At least the first dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
* Proof of enrollment in an approved dental nursing course.
* Strong organization, focus, and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* High infection control standards.
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
