We are recruiting for two Senior Project Manager vacancies at Band 7, on 12-month fixed-term contracts, or secondments for existing NHS staff.
Overview
The role is to lead and support the delivery of our ongoing work programme, helping to deliver local strategic priorities and contribute to the three shifts in the ten-year health plan. Applicants should have proven experience in planning and delivering transformational change projects for frontline healthcare, whether as a clinician, an operational manager, or a change manager.
Main duties
These are senior Band 7 roles; the successful applicants will have direct experience of working within the NHS. The projects to be led on, and others to support, will depend on previous experience.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support delivery of transformational change projects in frontline healthcare.
* Collaborate across teams to improve healthcare outcomes.
* Influence and manage change initiatives with stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential criteria
* Educated to degree level in healthcare, management or a relevant field, or significant relevant experience.
* Excellent standard of English – written, spoken and grammar.
Desirable criteria
* PRINCE2 Foundation/Managing Successful Projects Foundation/Equivalent project management qualification.
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant experience of project management.
* Knowledge of project management methodologies.
* Experience in supporting business change management processes.
* Understanding of evaluating interventions.
* Awareness of Health Innovation West of England works areas.
* Knowledge of the health and social care system and current priorities.
Desirable criteria
* Experience in healthcare, academia, innovation or related environments.
* Experience in working within complex networks of stakeholders.
* Experience planning and carrying out evaluation activities.
* Experience of performance monitoring and measurement.
* Experience in mentoring and training team members.
Specific Skills
Essential criteria
* Excellent keyboard skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Clear communication of complex information verbally, in writing and electronically.
* Knowledge and understanding of confidential information management.
Desirable criteria
* Good understanding of project management software solutions (e.g., Verto) or similar systems.
* Experience coordinating and chairing meetings.
* Excellent relationship management skills.
* Experience in quality improvement methods and tools.
Working arrangements
Health Innovation West of England embraces a hybrid model, with flexibility to work from home and in a Bristol office. The role requires regular attendance in Bristol offices and occasional travel to other locations within the geography and nationally for in-person meetings and events.
