Fraser Recruitment is proud to be working with a professional network of consultancies operating across planning, design, and rural sectors. The group is currently expanding its team as part of a recruitment drive to strengthen its position as a recognised leader in the sector. This role is for a Senior Planner to join the team in Preston.
The network brings together specialist planning, design, and property expertise across multiple offices, enabling member companies to deliver high-quality, evidence-led advice across a wide range of projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and high-profile planning projects spanning multiple sectors, including commercial and industrial, housing, energy, sport and leisure, and transport.
The consultancy supports clients throughout the development process, from feasibility and planning applications to public consultation, appeals, and Environmental Impact Assessments, ensuring projects are robust, compliant, and achievable.
As a Senior Planner, you will take responsibility for managing projects from inception to completion. You will undertake housing land supply (HLS) assessments, support and lead planning appeals, and provide strategic advice to clients and project teams. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues across the network to ensure compliance with planning policy, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards. This is a hands-on role offering the chance to take ownership of projects while contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team.
The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) with at least five years’ experience in private planning consultancy. You should have broad planning experience across multiple project types, with strong expertise in HLS assessments and planning appeals, and excellent client management and project coordination skills. You must be able to work independently while collaborating effectively across the network.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected consultancy within a multi-office professional network, gaining exposure to complex projects across the UK and benefiting from the shared expertise and resources of the wider group. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, alongside opportunities for professional growth and career development.
