Job Description:
The opportunity
The Wholesale Banking and Capital Markets (WBCM) team brings together a deep knowledge of industry trends and a strong execution experience to help our clients develop and execute their capital markets transformation agendas. We operate in a highly collaborative business environment, and our team culture, focused on personal growth, learning, and helping each other, is critical to our success.
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with clients at all levels of an organization to help them solve their most important business challenges. You’ll help define and execute change related to various agendas, such as cost transformation, process re-engineering, risk and controls mapping, regulatory change, digital strategy, and organizational restructuring.
You will be pivotal in making this happen, so if you are interested in being part of a growing team, working with some of the most recognizable names in the Capital Markets industry, and reaching your full potential, we want to hear from you.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant, you will execute your role on a client delivery team to analyze and transform our clients’ capital markets businesses. You will work with your team to provide valuable insights and advice to clients to enable strategic and operational decisions. You will also support the Capital Markets practice in business development and go-to-market initiatives, enhancing our capabilities and services.
We require individuals with a general understanding of banks’ regulatory obligations and how they can meet those obligations, especially in broader-scale transformation of their operating models.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
* Work experience in a strategy-focused role across the front, middle or back office, managing change and transformation impacting the business
* Detailed understanding of process re-design/re-engineering to improve efficiency and reduce risk
* Knowledge of large-scale data and workflow repositories, including developing or re-engineering tooling suites
* Strong project delivery track record, with ability to produce high-quality outputs under tight deadlines
* Knowledge of financial products (derivatives, equities, fixed income, forex, commodities) and industries (investment banking, broker-dealers, custody, fund administration, investment management)
* Experience in operating models, cost transformation, regulatory change, tech-enabled transformation, policies, governance, risk, and controls, especially in trade lifecycle, post-trade operations, front-office, clearance, settlement, client onboarding, treasury, collateral management, and regulatory regimes
Ideally, you’ll also have:
* Insights into process inefficiencies in capital markets and ideas for organizational improvement
* Success in understanding client needs and developing tailored service offerings
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, and comfort working in fluid, uncertain environments
* Ability to build relationships with mid- to senior-level clients, including C-suite
* Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
What we look for
Passion for accelerating careers in capital markets and transforming the financial services industry. Relevant advisory experience, a passion for capital markets, and a drive to help businesses reach their potential are essential.
What we offer
Competitive remuneration, comprehensive Total Rewards including flexible working, career development, holidays, health, insurance, savings, and discounts. We also provide:
* Continuous learning: Skills to navigate future challenges.
* Success as defined by you: Tools and flexibility to make a meaningful impact.
* Transformative leadership: Insights, coaching, and confidence to lead effectively.
* Diverse and inclusive culture: Embrace for who you are and empowerment to use your voice.
