Injection Moulding Setter We are looking for a hands-on Injection Moulding Setter to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in optimising our injection moulding operations. The role will be based at our HQ in Sheffield and is a fantastic opportunity for a thorough, hardworking person to join our growing business. Reporting to the Moulding Team Leader, this is a full-time and permanent position. The working hours will be a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern. You will work 4 days on 6am-6pm then four days off, followed by 4 days on 6pm-6am then 4 days off. However, you will occasionally be required to work around the needs of the business, and therefore a flexible, can-do attitude is essential. Who are Loadhog? What is the role? You will ensure the efficient running of machines, ensuring production and quality targets are met whilst maintaining the housekeeping standards of the business. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: giving written and verbal handovers to the other shifts and the wider team. performing tool changes safely on various moulding machines. operating injection moulding machines to meet production targets. performing quality control tasks according to cycle of control to ensure products conform to customer specifications, taking full responsibility for accurate and timely checks. recording downtime and scrap accurately through the Gemba system. ensuring all paper records are up-to-date and accurate. carrying out tool/material trials as requested. hanging tools in machines and connecting all required auxiliaries. starting efficient production runs. operating the material conveyance system and chiller systems. conducting colour/material changes. maintaining optimum production on all machines, by minimising downtime and scrap production. ensuring production targets are met or improved where possible (cycle times). responding to production/quality issues raised by audits or team members. supporting continuous improvement (kaizen system) – design, develop and implementation of ideas. maintaining the housekeeping standards of the department. The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience: Proven experience in an injection moulding role. Experience with Engel injection moulding machines ideally. Familiarity with Viper 3-axis robots and Kuka 6 Axis robots. Experience with machinery sizes ranging from 100t-1700t. Mechanical and electrical experience advantageous. Ability to read diagrams, technical drawings and manuals. Strong awareness of health and safety requirements. Awareness of quality standards and their relevance in manufacturing. Excellent communicator – verbal and written. Excellent time management. Willingness to train and develop across additional technologies. Committed to developing personal skills and abilities.
