Job summary
Working across schools, nurseries, family homes and community settings, you'll play a key role in delivering public health messages and supporting families within the Healthy Child Programme.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering health promotion messages within community settings
* Providing advice to families on sleep routines, behaviour management, weaning, toilet training and home safety
* Supporting breastfeeding mothers
* Completing development reviews as part of the Universal Healthy Child Programme offer
* Promoting immunisations, healthy diet and smoking cessation
* Running drop-in clinics under the supervision of Public Health Nurses
* Supporting children and young people with long-term conditions
* Reporting safeguarding concerns appropriately
* Maintaining accurate electronic records
You'll manage and prioritise your own workload, responding flexibly to daily changes while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
