The role of Engineering Manager is to manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the Engineering aspects of the region from initial land appraisal through to final adoptions of a development.
Main Responsibilities
1. Assist in the evaluation and appraisal of development opportunities and to provide information required to purchase land.
2. Advise on and secure planning approvals, delivering and reporting as per Group policies and processes to meet the Region's business plan.
3. Responsible for the management of external consultants to ensure each development is optimised and delivered on programme and within budget.
4. Management of external planning, architectural and engineering consultants to ensure that all design information is received, co-ordinated and distributed on time and within budget.
5. Prepare and maintain programmes and documents for the monitoring of progress and for reporting to the Technical Director.
6. Comply with the rules and procedures contains within the company Operating Framework.
7. Coordinate the preparation of the Pre tender Health and Safety Information in accordance with the Gleeson procedures.
8. Co-ordinate and manage project meetings with consultants and other departments in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all relevant action points are noted and recorded.
