Salary: £54,884 with potential to rise to £64,570 over 3 years

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.
This is an exciting opportunity to support and guide the financial reporting team in several areas including both internal and external reporting, technical accounting, and audit.
Every day you will …
1. Deliver accurate internal monthly management reporting and financial snapshots to support business performance tracking
2. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annually stakeholders reports
3. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis for both internal and externals stakeholders
4. Manage balance sheet accounting and reconciliations with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
5. Support timely decision making though the delivery of external reporting including statutory accounts, stakeholder update and ONS submissions
6. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for technical advice, including drafting technical papers and policies.
7. Oversee payroll reporting and ensure alignment with financial controls
8. Prepare balance sheet budgeting and forecasting
9. Own and manage month end timetable, ensuring all reporting is delivered accurately and on time
10. Continuously review and enhance reporting processes and procedures, leveraging new systems and technologies for improved efficiency.
11. Act as an escalation point for the team and ensure appropriate conversations are happening at the right level
