Policy researcher & data analyst (Full-time, Permanent)
Location: St Albans
Do you have experience identifying, analysing and interpreting public source data?
Are you someone who has a track record of generating research and analysis which drives and supports impactful news stories?
Do you have knowledge of the health care sector and the current public policy issues?
Are you someone who has experience in a public affairs, media relations or campaign advocacy environment?

The role
* To enhance the organisation's public affairs and policy work by developing research and analysis to support NPA positions
* To support the organisation's communications and campaigning work by developing research and analysis which drives and supports impactful news stories
* To support the work of the organisation by identifying and proposing ways to utilise external data sources
* To build the NPA's evidence base on its members' frontline experience by gathering and presenting quantitative and qualitative information from the membership.
Key facts:
Hybrid-working pattern: Home working blended with at least 1 day per week working at the NPA'S Head Office, just outside of London.
Availability: Immediate or very short notice
The candidate
Your key attributes:
* Excellent interpersonal, written communication and data presentation skills along with a collaborative approach to working
* Ability to provide high quality output to deadlines
* Have a deep knowledge of quantitate and qualitative research methods
* Ability to communicate complex analysis and insight clearly and confidently to a range of audiences
* Can demonstrate an ability to manage the work involved in completing complex projects
* Is pro-active and able to show initiative, with ability to organise and prioritise own time and workload
* Has a flexible working attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
* Has knowledge of the health care sector and the current public policy issues
* Is able to identify data sources that offer opportunities to provide insight
* Can demonstrate sound judgement and critical thinking skills in order to analyse and work with complex issues.
* A qualification covering quantitative and qualitative research methods would be desirable.
