Job Details
Salary: £24,027-£24,404 (pro-rata £8,205pa)
Contract Type: Term-time only, temporary to July 2026 with probability of extension
Working Pattern: 15 hours: M, T, Th & F afternoons, Wednesday all day

We are looking for a teaching assistant to join our friendly and supportive team, initially until July 2026, but can be extended while the pupils remain on roll. The successful applicant will provide support for pupils with a range of educational needs within the classroom, during small group work and one-to-one, and may work with both KS1 and KS2 children. The post is for 15 hours per week (8.55am – 3.25pm on Wednesday, 1 - 3.25pm for the rest of the week), with unpaid lunch and break times.
What You Need to Succeed
We are particularly looking for someone with the following skills:
5. Experience of working with children.
6. Committed to a creative approach to learning.
7. Experience of working under direction and on own initiative.
8. An understanding of the needs of children on the Autistic Spectrum or the desire to learn.
The position would suit a patient, supportive person who can establish positive relationships with children and adults. Good maths and English skills are required, and a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable. Recent experience of working with children with additional needs would be an advantage - please include details in your application.
