Stores Assistant – FLT
We are currently looking for a Stores Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse team at our client’s head office in Woore. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a structured warehouse environment. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting and will be a team player who is organised, self-motivated and methodical. Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be comfortable with physically demanding tasks and have a good understanding of health & safety in a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities of this Stores Assistant – FLT role: Assisting with the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods Picking and packing orders accurately Using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanning devices Maintaining stock accuracy and organised storage areas Supporting the wider warehouse team to ensure efficient operations Following all health & safety procedures Skills & Experience required for this Stores Assistant – FLT role: Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or distribution environment Good attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work well within a team Awareness of warehouse health & safety procedures Willingness to undertake physically demanding work Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licences would be desirable Experience using WMS systems and handheld scanners Full UK driving license due to location Details of this Stores Assistant – FLT role: 30 days holiday (including statutory) rising to 34 days after one year’s service Annual business performance bonus (non-contractual) Auto-enrolment pension – 5% employee contribution initially, fully funded by the company after 3 years After qualifying period:
