Graduate Reading Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reading Support Assistant to join our team at a thriving secondary mainstream school in Hounslow. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about education and eager to support students aged 11-16 in developing their reading skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide classroom support, working with students individually, in small groups, or supporting the entire class.
2. Assist students with literacy difficulties, including those with dyslexia.
3. Implement structured, engaging teaching activities to motivate and enhance students' learning.
4. Ensure all pupils have equal access to learning opportunities and promote the inclusion of students with specific needs.
5. Employ effective behaviour management strategies to foster a productive learning environment.
6. Encourage cooperative interaction among pupils and support their overall development.
Qualifications and Skills:
7. A graduate with high levels of literacy and reading proficiency.
8. Passionate about education and making a positive impact on students' lives.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
