Senior & PCM Project Controls Specialists - Performance & Reporting - Bristol - Transport & Utilities

Job Description
As part of the wider reporting & performance management team (or independently with reach‑back support), you will support early careers, grow into leadership roles, and bring your expertise to our communities of practice. You will work in a flexible, mobile environment across sectors such as Water, Rail, Mass Transit, Local Authority and Shipyards, delivering bespoke solutions and opportunities for professional development.
Responsibilities
* Tailor reporting processes to meet the client’s needs and align with best practice.
* Deliver performance and reporting management plans based on project requirements, maturity, and best practice.
* Promote the benefits and requirements of Performance Reporting & Analytics within project and programme teams.
* Implement, administer, and maintain reporting systems and procedures to track project controls performance.
* Work with the Integrated Project Team to establish a robust, integrated, accurate Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and support the change control process.
* Roll out reporting calendars to ensure a consistent drumbeat of performance data and sufficient time to analyse outputs.
* Collaborate with project controls to define requirements and data flows for information management systems, supporting digital teams in implementation.
* Lead the development, analysis and maintenance of corporate datasets.
* Provide guidance and advice on data quality issues to a variety of data providers.
* Lead preparation of material for governance through projects, programmes, portfolios and the enterprise.
* Identify performance recovery recommendations for stakeholders and management to support effective decision‑making.
* Support the project team to develop, embed KPIs and contribute to the performance measures dictionary.
* Develop project performance reports and dashboards, providing recommendations to support effective decision‑making.
* Lead preparation of presentations and other materials for client governance forums and performance reviews.
* Contribute to national and regional performance & reporting communities, including Communities of Practice.
* Train and coach clients and less experienced team members on performance and reporting management processes and practices.
Qualifications
* Experience in a project or programme environment.
* Understanding of how other aspects of Project Controls (Scheduling, Cost Control, Change Control) interact with Reporting.
* Track record in identifying reporting and data requirements and documenting these using appropriate tools and documentation.
* Awareness of Project Controls software (Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys, etc.) is desirable.
* Experience using data analysis tools such as Power BI.
* Understanding of data, data architecture, and data models.
