Finance Assistant - Liskeard - Full time - Permanent

We’re working once again with a specialist services business that’s expanding across the UK, and they’ve asked us to find their next Finance Assistant. You’ll join a supportive team of seven, working side-by-side with a highly experienced Financial Controller who’s keen to share their knowledge and help you develop.
What you’ll be doing:
-Keeping both sales and purchase ledgers up-to-date and accurate
-Making payroll happen – collating data, sending payslips, and ensuring HMRC gets what it needs
-Pulling together payroll reports and RTI submissions
-Lending a hand with VAT returns
-Pitching in on month-end and ad-hoc projects
-Helping keep all digital accounting systems running like clockwork
You’ll already have around a year’s experience in a finance role, whether gained through your AAT studies or hands-on work. You’ll be confident juggling high volumes of work without letting the details slip, and happy working in a fast-moving, multi-functional environment. Good IT skills (SAGE experience is a bonus) and a knack for solving problems will be key, as will being a clear, friendly communicator.
