Diagnostic Technician - Mercedes Benz role at JCT600 Ltd in York. You will be responsible for ensuring that all service, repair and maintenance work is completed to exemplary standards on a diverse range of Mercedes-Benz models.

Key Responsibilities
* Accurately and skilfully undertake repairs and servicing, ensuring every job meets the required standards and completes any necessary administrative processes.
* Ensure all repair work is completed to the highest standard and within factory timescales.
* Complete and provide accurate diagnostic reports, giving a clear understanding of what and why a repair is needed to the Workshop Manager/Team Leader.
* Evaluate the condition of every vehicle and report and document any additional work required on systems and job cards where necessary.
* Explain to customers in clear language what is required for a technical repair so they understand.
* Liaise with other departments to facilitate timely and accurate servicing and repair of vehicles.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with Company, Brand and industry guidelines.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as an accredited/qualified Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, level 3 IMI light vehicle maintenance or City and Guilds equivalent.
* Brand accreditation would be beneficial but not essential as brand training will be provided; candidates from all brand backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
* A customer-centric approach, always aiming to deliver service above customer expectations.
* Enthusiastic and optimistic with responsibility for actions and decisions.
* Organised and methodical approach to problem solving.
* Clear communicator when advising customers on technical issues.
* A driving licence free from excessive penalties is essential.
