We are currently recruiting for a well-established and respected Electronics manufacturer based around half an hour from York. The company has a turnover of £4M but with significant order wins that are about to increase. Therefore, the appointed Production Manager will need to make an immediate impact.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
– Overseeing manufacturing and production processes
– Creating and executing daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules
– Procuring factory production equipment and taking responsibility for its maintenance
– Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
– Implementing all the company’s procedures and policies
– Communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management
– Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control
– Training and coaching Assemblers and other unskilled labour
– Implementing safety, health, environment and quality requirements
– Undertaking staff appraisals
– Recruitment of production and warehouse staff
Your skills and experience:
– Proven manufacturing Production Management experience encompassing electronics.
– Proficient in Microsoft Excel to support work-in-progress and production schedules
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) systems
– Coaching and Mentoring skills
– Excellent organisational skills
– Calm under pressure
