Chemistry Teacher – Secondary (Middlesbrough)

Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Middlesbrough to recruit a Chemistry Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons across KS3 and KS4. This role is suitable for QTS-qualified teachers, ECTs, and experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants with strong Chemistry subject knowledge.
The Role:
* Deliver engaging and well-structured Chemistry lessons, including practical experiments and theoretical concepts.
* Provide effective classroom cover when required.
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
* Maintain strong behaviour management and a positive, safe learning environment.
* Support students in developing scientific knowledge, practical skills, and analytical thinking.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS or has relevant classroom experience in Chemistry (teachers, cover supervisors, or TA cover).
* Confident teaching Chemistry across KS3–KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
* Strong subject knowledge with a passion for science education.
* Reliable, adaptable, and proactive.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
