Job Advert – Residential Support Workers (x2)
Location: Bolton
Department: Children’s Services
We are currently seeking two dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join our Children’s Services team.
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting children and young people within a residential care setting—ensuring their safety, development, and well-being are always at the heart of what you do.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Providing day-to-day practical and emotional support to young people
2. Acting as a key worker and formulating, implementing, and reviewing individual care plans
3. Assisting service users with behavioural challenges and personal development
4. Supporting transitions, including preparing young people to move on from care
5. Ensuring medication is administered safely and appropriately
6. Promoting positive relationships and safeguarding the welfare of all children in your care
7. Maintaining accurate records, attending case conferences, and working in partnership with families
What We’re Looking For:
8. Essential Qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or an equivalent qualification
9. Experience working with vulnerable children or young people
10. A caring, resilient, and team-oriented individual who can maintain professional boundaries and provide consistent care
11. Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, as required
