About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for 2 Commissioning Support Officers to join the Working Age Adult Commissioning Team. The team sits within Trafford Council's Commissioning for Independence and Wellbeing Service.

As a Commissioning Support Officer, you will oversee contract monitoring and quality assurance across supported living and residential homes in Trafford. You will also be involved in the full commissioning cycle – working collaboratively with key partners to identify need and gaps in service provision, support with procurement activity and analyse outcomes.

The role will also involve visits to service providers across Trafford on a regular basis as part of the quality assurance aspect of this role.

The successful candidate will be supported and developed by a small friendly team.

About You

Your style and approach should reflect our values and behaviours: you will be committed to continually learning and improving the way you do things to ensure effective outcomes, valuing and respecting others’ contributions. You will be passionate about working with care providers to support them to deliver a high‑quality service to people accessing their services.

You should have a good level of knowledge in social care, be able to engage with several key stakeholders, and have good project management skills.

You will keep up to date with the relevant regulations, policy and legislation relating to the adults’ social care sector.

Additional Information

This advert may close early if we receive a high number of applications, so please apply as soon as possible.

An enhanced DBS check with adults barred list check will be required.

You will have flexibility in terms of hybrid working at home and in the office – currently the team works in the office at Trafford Town Hall two days a week.

We will offer flexibility where we can – if you are interested in a role, please speak to the recruiting manager about what flexibility they might consider.
