Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - Cardiff Bay Vets for Pets
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Cardiff Bay Vets for Pets, located near Cardiff city centre. Salary up to £60,000 DOE.
Our well-equipped practice includes 3 consulting rooms, x-ray, ultrasound, bronchoscope, in-house blood machine with clotting times, microscope, surgery kit with some orthopaedic equipment, electrocautery, suction machine, separate dog and cat wards, and a mobile CT scanner visiting every 4 weeks.
Our team comprises a new graduate vet (qualified in August), a Practice Manager/RVN with 13 years of experience, a Head RVN with 11 years, and RVN/SVN team members with 2-9 years of experience, along with front of house staff averaging 3-4 years. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive, fun, and happy working environment, delivering high standards of pet and client care.
We handle a variety of cases, from vaccines to hospitalized inpatients, with a focus on patient and client experience. Orthopaedic and large soft tissue surgeries are performed by a visiting vet surgeon (RATA).
We seek an experienced Veterinary Surgeon comfortable with sole charge, working 40 hours per week. The role involves 1 in 3 Saturdays and no OOH. We are flexible with shifts to accommodate childcare and other needs.
Our location on Cardiff Bay Retail Park offers proximity to numerous shops and restaurants, and is just a 10-minute drive from Cardiff city centre's attractions such as the Principality Stadium, Cardiff Castle, and the National Museum.
