Overview
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor experienced in large high-value Civil or Construction / Heavy Engineering Projects, or role-related PQS experience.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate leading end-to-end projects from pre- and post-contract award, including cost advice, planning, managing contract documentation, tendering, and contractual arrangements.
This role within our Contracts team offers challenges, learning, and long-term development opportunities within a global organization. Some domestic or international travel may be required to support our global operations.
What will you be doing?
The Quantity Surveyor is part of Supply Chain Management (SCM), Contracts, and Chartering, within Subsea7’s Offshore Resources (OR) group, responsible for providing cost-effective procurement and contract management support aligned with company procedures. The role involves managing high complexity products and services, including CAPEX projects, vessel modifications, upgrades, and dry dockings.
Responsibilities
* Cost estimation, planning, and feasibility studies
* Preparation and oversight of tender packages and contract documents
* Evaluation of tenders and award recommendations
* Risk management, value engineering, and cost control strategies
* Contract negotiation and stakeholder consultation
* Monitoring subcontractor performance
* Financial management and cost analysis
* Implementing procurement strategies and sourcing
* Site visits and scope of work formulation
* Monitoring project progress and ensuring standards are met
* Identifying opportunities for value engineering
