About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time - 2 full days and 3 mornings 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our team at a lovely, friendly primary school in Pendle. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored support to a child with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) who requires additional emotional support. The child is currently working below their academic level, and the role is crucial in helping them thrive in a learning environment. The position may become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one support to the identified child in accordance with their EHCP.
2. Offer emotional support and encouragement to help the child build confidence and engage in learning.
3. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
4. Implement strategies to support the child's academic progress and development.
5. Monitor and assess the child's performance, providing feedback to the teaching staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
6. Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
7. Experience working with children with EHCP plans and providing emotional support.
8. Understanding of child development and learning strategies.
9. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
