The Workplace Facilities Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and overall administration of the workplace environment for the client account.
Job Description
With responsibility for key services such as cleaning, general workplace management, and contractor coordination, the role oversees a team across a multi-site portfolio, driving the consistent delivery of a high-quality employee and visitor experience.
A key focus will be ensuring adherence to Health and Safety, Security, and Compliance standards, while also proactively identifying opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiency through practical, cost-effective solutions.
This is a leadership role with a strong developmental aspect—supporting, mentoring, and upskilling team members to build capability and resilience across the workplace function.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a multi-site workplace portfolio, ensuring high service standards and customer satisfaction
* Support the Workplace Operations Manager and act as deputy when required
* Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure policy and compliance adherence
* Monitor contract specifications, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are consistently met
* Coordinate cleaning, catering, and maintenance services for seamless operations
* Identify and share best practice improvements for workplace FM delivery
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of future FM systems and processes
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Proven experience managing office portfolios with budget and FM process oversight
* Strong FM contract and budget management skills with a focus on service improvement
* Confident engaging with key stakeholders and overseeing contractor performance
* Line management experience with solid planning and time management abilities
* Skilled in research, data analysis, and use of Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities
* Holds IOSH Managing Safely and NEBOSH qualifications
