You have significant experience assessing and advising on planning applications, alongside a comprehensive understanding of planning legislation and local government operations. Your background showcases political awareness, experience in public hearings, and working to complex constitutional procedures. What the job involves This role involves providing leadership to the Development Management and Enforcement functions of the Council to contribute significantly to the Borough's growth and regeneration. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, operational planning, and overseeing the performance of lead officers and teams. In addition, the job requires staying updated with legislation and policies, negotiating infrastructure arrangements, coordinating planning committees, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will manage budgets, provide guidance and support to colleagues, and foster partnerships with stakeholders across sectors.
