Southern Water is looking for an experienced Senior Process Scientist to join us at an exciting time of transformation across the water industry.
This is a permanent, full-time role (37 hours) offering flexible location working and a hybrid balance of office and site-based work, covering Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
What you’ll be doing
* Providing expert technical support to Wastewater Operations
* Monitoring, optimising and improving wastewater treatment processes
* Investigating and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance and environmental protection
* Supporting investment decisions for existing and new assets
* Mentoring and developing Process Scientists within the team
* Playing a key role in operational decision-making with real environmental impact
What we’re looking for
* Degree (or higher) in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline
* Strong understanding of wastewater treatment, chemistry, biology and regulation
* Proven ability to solve complex operational and technical challenges
* Confident communicator, able to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Salary
From £39,000, depending on skills and experience

Flexible (with travel across Hampshire & Isle of Wight)
