My client, an independent, creative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Civil Engineer to join their experienced team of drainage and highways engineers, based near the stunning city of St. Davids, located in beautiful West Wales.
Essential Criteria:
* A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
* Demonstrable experience of conducting Drainage Impact Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Flood Risk Assessments
* Experience of working with roads, highways, and infrastructure, including adoptions
* Previous experience of having worked with a consultancy
* Good working knowledge of a range of software packages, including Civils 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, and other similar systems
* Full UK Driver’s Licence
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to possess the following:
* Attained Chartered Engineer status, or actively working to attain this
* Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Excellent time management skills
* Familiar with the local area
In your new role of Civil Engineer, you will join a specialist team of expert designers and engineers, with a view to developing your career with the company. The role will involve several diverse responsibilities, including:
* Work with Drainage Strategies, Drainage Impact Assessments, and Flood Risk Assessments
* Plan and design a range of roads and infrastructure projects
* Oversee the adoption of newly constructed infrastructure, ensuring it meets required standards and specifications
* Support senior engineering colleagues and managers with the delivery of various projects, adhering to agreed budgets and timescales
* Provide assistance to Senior Engineers in project preparation, including calculations, specifications, etc.
* Assist the Design Team with the development of accurate drawings and models
* Carry out site inspections and surveys
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects
