A transport and highways consultancy, comprising 22 staff across two offices, is seeking a Senior Civil/Highways Engineer to join their transport planning team based in Fleet.
The workforce is evenly split between transport planners, engineers, and directors across both offices.
The company delivers a broad range of services and solutions to clients, including all aspects of transport planning, S278/S38 highway scheme design, drainage design, and environmental planning.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Highways Engineer:
* Deliver highway and drainage designs to agreed programme and budget.
* Ensure all designs incorporate the requirements of relevant authorities and statutory bodies.
* Prepare, review, and approve design information and reports, providing constructive feedback.
* Ensure designs comply with MCHW, DMRB, and/or local design guidance.
Essential Requirements:
* Demonstrable experience with Section 278 and Section 38 highway design schemes.
* Strong technical expertise across a range of highway design environments.
* Proven experience in managing highway projects, delivering them on time and within budget.
* Experience in mentoring and supervising junior highway design staff.
* Thorough working knowledge of DMRB technical documents.
* Proficiency in highway drainage design, including use of MicroDrainage software.
* Competency in using Civils 3D CAD software.
* Membership of a relevant Chartered Institution.
* Full UK driving licence.
