Shifts: Evenings, nights, two weekends per month with 9% shift enhancement

We’re looking for a Paediatric Site Practitioner to join our team at The Portland Hospital, rated “Good” by the CQC, dedicated to women and children’s healthcare. Our team provides 24/7 ward coverage, managing acutely unwell paediatric patients and escalating care as needed to HDU/PICU.
The role involves providing a visible clinical presence, acting as a role model, and utilizing advanced nursing skills to coordinate resources and collaborate with on-site Duty Managers. You will be involved in PICU step-down processes, bed allocation, and will be part of the Clinical Emergency Team and Paediatric Hospital at Night Team, ensuring timely responses to patient needs.
This varied role offers ongoing development through a structured, competency-based program supported by senior clinical leaders. We value your clinical expertise and are committed to your professional growth.
What you’ll bring:
* NMC RN Child registration
* HDU/Critical Care experience
* Paediatric Physical Assessment Skills
* Current APLS/EPALS provider
* Ability to work effectively under pressure
* Evidence of CPD, e.g., Professional Portfolio
