We are seeking an experienced Head of International Sourcing to lead and transform the procurement function for a global financial technology organization. This role will engage with executives across Europe and Asia Pacific, delivering strategic sourcing initiatives aligned to business priorities in the financial services technology domain.
You will be hands-on, applying decision-making frameworks that balance ROI, risk, quality, cycle time, and sustainability. Strong commercial and legal knowledge, negotiation expertise, and experience in global, matrixed organizations are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with Global Procurement leaders to implement consistent processes, policies, and tools.
* Act as a strategic advisor to business unit heads (HR, Legal, IT, Marketing), providing recommendations based on financial and operational criteria.
* Transform the international procurement function from operational to strategic, driving centralized sourcing decisions.
* Review, draft, and negotiate vendor contracts in line with corporate policies and legal requirements.
* Serve as the International Strategic Sourcing expert, providing guidance across the organization.
* Define and implement category strategies across local, regional, and global segments; identify vendor risks and consolidation opportunities.
* Set targets, lead contract bidding, and measure competitiveness of programs against benchmarks.
* Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and productivity within the procurement team.
* Manage stakeholder relationships, reporting on active and upcoming projects, value creation, and spend.
* Mentor junior buyers and align the team with broader global Strategic Sourcing objectives.
Qualifications
* 7+ years of leadership experience in sourcing, procurement, and global operations.
* Strong experience in IT contracts and procurement process optimization.
* Experience working with cross-geographical teams (Europe, APAC, India).
* Proven ability to lead negotiations and oversee procurement programs for diverse products and services.
* Strong analytical skills and experience influencing stakeholders and improving processes.
* Track record in corporate cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
Technical & Functional Skills
* Expertise in Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, Supplier Risk Management, Contracting, and Procurement Operations.
* Understanding of supply chain implications on cash flow, balance sheet, and P&L.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills across global teams.
* Experience in financial technology or supplier-side procurement is advantageous.
