Electrical Engineer
An established building services consultancy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its growing Manchester team. Role Overview
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical building services designs from concept through to completion, working closely with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated and compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver electrical building services designs including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, security and data systems.
Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, schematics and detailed layouts in line with current UK regulations and best practice.
Produce and coordinate drawings and BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
Attend site visits, design meetings and project reviews, providing technical input and resolving design issues.
Support tender processes, review contractor submissions and respond to technical queries during construction.
Work collaboratively with mechanical, architectural and structural teams to ensure fully integrated designs.
Skills & Experience
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer within a building services consultancy or similar environment.
Strong understanding of BS standards, CIBSE guidance and UK Building Regulations.
Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and electrical calculation software.
Good communication skills and the ability to manage workload across multiple projects.
