Contracts and Bid Manager (Funded Learning)

The Role
Your primary focus will be to manage existing contracts and secure new bids in the funded learning space. You will hold account management responsibility for funded contracts, understanding clients’ needs, driving value through our products and services, and championing a ‘One 3t’ mindset in all client engagements.
* Keep up to date with new and existing government funding streams, e.g. Green Skills, Bootcamps.
* Deliver against targets for existing contracts, especially with college contracts and combined authorities.
* Expand 3t’s ability to attract more funding streams with colleges and combined authorities, strategically leveraging our capabilities as a training provider.
* Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with internal teams to implement strategies.
* Generate leads for wider 3t product streams to refer to relevant business development departments.
* Meet and aim to exceed sales targets and objectives, contributing to overall growth and profitability.
Duties And Responsibilities
* Provide relevant insights to leadership on the performance of existing and new contracts.
* Review pipeline and CRM with the team, ensuring timely progression of leads.
* Build and nurture relationships with existing clients and internal teams, specifically the funded learning team.
* Develop and implement strategic account plans with the sales and marketing teams.
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities.
* Provide regular reports and forecasts of potential new funding wins.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns and digital marketing strategies.
* Work closely with finance teams to ensure proactive cash collection, billing and compliance.
* Work with the head of department and quality leads to ensure contracts are effectively managed.

* Proven experience in a similar role working with and bidding for government funding.
* Results‑driven approach with a focus on exceeding targets.
* Solution‑orientated sales mindset, listening to client challenges and tailoring solutions.
* Strong understanding of training and workforce development needs within core training industries.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, building rapport with senior executives.
* Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently.
