We are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide individualised care and support at a vibrant school in the Leek, Staffordshire area. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with SEN.
Key Details:
* Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
* Start Date: September 2025
* Location: Leek, Staffordshire
* Salary: Minimum of £88.94 per day
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
* Contract: Temporary agency supply, long term and short-term roles available
Responsibilities:
* Support children with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, MLD, and SLD.
* Assist in the delivery of a tailored curriculum and contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment.
* Work closely with the teaching staff to implement effective strategies that promote student learning and well-being.
* Engage with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
* Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
Requirements:
* A genuine interest in working with children with SEN and a commitment to their development.
* Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and parents.
* A proactive and flexible approach to meeting the needs of the children and the school.
