This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College. In order to comply with our mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based People Services Department. As the Head of School you will provide strategic leadership and direction for the School of Health, Wellbeing, Hospitality & Lifestyle, ensuring the school delivers outstanding educational provision in line with the goals and values of Warwickshire College Group (WCG). The role will oversee the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of the curriculum, ensuring that student outcomes and quality standards exceed national benchmarks. The Head of School will also be responsible for financial management, staff development, and external stakeholder engagement, ensuring the school remains responsive to both local and national needs. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position, as you will be working within 'Regulated Activity' within a specific place (i.e. the College). This role is classed as working within Regulated Activity. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. This role will oversee the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of the curriculum, ensuring that student outcomes and quality standards exceed national benchmarks. The Head of School will also be responsible for financial management, staff development, and external stakeholder engagement, ensuring the school remains responsive to both local and national needs. Whilst working within the core values and through continuous improvement, the post holder will develop the curriculum area to meet or exceed the College’s KPIs. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. OFFERS OF WORK For the successful candidate a conditional offer of work will be made. Essential Attainments: ✓Educated to Level 3 or 4 ✓Willing to work towards Internal Verification Award. ✓Willing to work towards Teacher Qualified Status Desirable Attainments: ✓Qualification in management. Essential Skills and Knowledge: ✓Experience as a Manager in Education working with students. ✓Experience in the management and delivery of a range of levels and awarding bodies. ✓Industry experience in one of the relevant sectors. ✓Clear understanding of relevant sector Industry needs and strategies to meet skills required. ✓Proven track record of curriculum development. ✓Proven track record of improving and sustaining above benchmark success rates. ✓Experience of monitoring and evaluating student progress to improve success rates. ✓Experience of performance and impact management of teams. ✓Successful outcomes with Awarding Bodies and partners to achieve desired outcomes. ✓Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of Equality and Diversity. ✓Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. ✓Ability to demonstrate behaviours, which support the Core Values of the College.
