Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Class Teacher to work in one of our inspirational SEND Schools in Blyth on a full-time and long-term basis to start ASAP. Applications from ECTs are welcome and there will be opportunities for part of the ECT qualification to be completed whilst in the role. The School supports pupils across the Secondary School age range.
About the Role:
1. The role will involve planning and delivering lessons to small classes of pupils with SEMH and ASD of varying levels.
2. Some pupils may display challenging behaviour, so the relationship-building skills and resilience of the successful candidate will be key.
3. Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
4. A key part of the role will be to differentiate lessons appropriately and work effectively alongside other members of staff to ensure all pupils are able to make progress and are taught in a way that is suited to their individual needs and learning styles.

Pay, Hours and Contract:
8. Pay – Between £130-180 per day
9. Hours –
10. Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract.
11. Start Date – September 2025
12. Location – Blyth
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
13. An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
14. QTS and Primary School Teaching experience within the UK.
15. Experience of short, medium and long-term planning
16. Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress
17. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
18. Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
19. A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work
20. Strong organisation and communication skills
