Job Description:
The position coordinates weekend operational activities and services. The primary purpose of the position is circulation services, including reserves, and supervision of hourly employees. Provides high quality customer service at the help desk and assists users with research, circulation, library, student support services, and technical questions. Minimum Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated knowledge of basic business and writing skills
2. Demonstrated knowledge of basic mathematical skills to reconcile financial data and perform statistical data collection
3. Demonstrated considerable knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques
4. Demonstrated considerable knowledge of library research resources
5. Effective time management and organizational skills to plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines
6. Considerable interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
7. Demonstrated considerable skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications
8. Demonstrated considerable problem solving and critical thinking skills
9. Demonstrated ability to supervise, train and evaluate a diverse library staff and student assistants
10. Demonstrated considerable ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making within general guidelines
11. Considerable ability to work well in a diverse team environment, as well as independently
12. Considerable ability to follow and interpret policies and procedures in performing detailed work
