Assistant Hub Manager - Slough, Berkshire PADELHUB is the home of premium indoor padel, combining world-class courts, welcoming club facilities, and a buzzing social atmosphere. We’re on a mission to make padel the most popular sport in the UK, building vibrant communities around the fastest‑growing sport in Europe. About the Role We’re looking for an Assistant Hub Manager to play a key role in the day-to-day running of our Slough hub — a vibrant, people-first sports facility built around padel, community, and great experiences. This is a hands-on, customer-focused leadership role at the heart of the hub. You’ll work closely with the Hub Manager to ensure smooth operations, support and motivate the team, look after our members, and help grow participation and revenue. More than that, you’ll help create a welcoming, social environment where people connect through sport. This role is ideal for someone with a background in business development, sales, hospitality, or customer-focused management who thrives in a fast-paced environment and believes in the power of sport to bring people together. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Hub Manager with the overall management and smooth running of the Slough facility, including: Assisting with day-to-day operations, ensuring the hub runs efficiently and to the highest standards Managing and supporting staff, including rota planning, supervising shifts, and leading the front-of-house team by example Handling member enquiries, feedback, and issues, making sure every visitor feels welcome, supported, and valued Supporting membership growth, sales activity, and business development initiatives Assisting with events and activations such as tournaments, leagues, socials, and open days that bring the community together Overseeing bookings and front-of-house operations to deliver a seamless, premium customer journey Actively promoting the hub locally to grow participation and build a strong, inclusive padel community in Slough Ensuring excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered across the venue Experience & Background: Previous experience as an assistant manager, supervisor, or in a similar leadership role Background in hospitality, leisure, sport, or other customer-focused environments preferred Experience or a strong interest in sales, business development, or membership growth is highly desirable Skills & Attributes A genuine passion for people, customer service, and community building A proactive, hands-on attitude — happy to be on the floor supporting staff and members Strong organisation and planning skills Confident communicator who can lead by example and inspire a team A commercial mindset with an interest in driving participation and revenue Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events A love of sport is essential — padel knowledge is a bonus, but not required Equal Opportunity Statement: PADELHUB is an equal opportunity employer.
