Activity Support Worker
To provide a flexible support service to an 10 year old boy with a complex brain injury. Acting in an enabling capacity, the role will be to support the client in his home and community, help organise appointments and activities and to support in facilitating other professionals in relation to his education (which at this time is based in the home and community).
Experience and qualifications in outdoor activities/personal training would be advantageous. Applicants must be confident with water and height-based activities.
Applicants must have experience on working with young people with challenging behaviours. Experience working with clients with brain injuries would be an advantage.
Applicants must hold a full, clean driving licence.
Hours of work
20 hours per week - typically split over 3-4 days/evenings including occasional weekends.
Rate of pay
£17.00 per hour weekdays
£17.00 per hour weekend
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
