Advert
Dover Christ Church Academy is seeking to recruit a dynamic and highly motivated Subject Leader of Modern Foreign Languages to lead our vibrant Turner School of Languages. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring or experienced leader to shape the linguistic future of our students. The successful candidate will be able to offer French with another language, preferably Spanish.
MFL is a popular subject with students, and highly respected in the Trust. At Turner Schools, students have the opportunity to study French and Spanish, with many opting to study a language at GCSE. Our uptake is continuing to grow year on year, and we are proud to offer ‘A’ Level languages as a part of the provision to our students. We use a blended approach, using the EPI method. Therefore, an understanding of this would be welcome, but not essential.
The Trust can offer two OFSTED GOOD SCHOOLS with an exciting opportunity to work with the Director of MFL to build on the achievements of our MFL departments. We can offer you a dedicated, collaborative cross trust team of professionals always seeking to welcome new ideas and input.
As a faculty we are committed to supporting our students in becoming confident in their ability, with a sense of purpose and a vision for their futures. We want all of our students to be successful, achieving qualifications that prepare them to succeed in their ambition.
We are looking for a leader who:
1. Has a creative and aspirational vision for the MFL curriculum and its delivery.
2. Is dedicated to improving student progress and raising attainment through data-driven leadership.
3. Possesses the drive to assist students in breaking down barriers to learning.
4. Will lead by example, providing an exciting range of extra-curricular opportunities for our students.
5. Is committed to the mentorship and professional development of the MFL teaching team, including ECTs.
