Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Bath. This is a full-time role, ideal for an enthusiastic educator with a genuine passion for English Language and Literature.
The successful candidate will contribute to a strong English department, delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons across KS3 and KS4. Responsibilities include:
* Teaching English Language and Literature in line with the national curriculum
* Planning and delivering high‑quality, differentiated lessons
* Preparing students for GCSE assessments, focusing on reading, writing, analysis and critical thinking
* Creating engaging resources to support learning across a range of abilities
* Tracking and assessing pupil progress, providing useful feedback
* Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment
* Contributing to departmental planning, meetings, and whole‑school initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – mandatory
* Strong subject knowledge in English Language & Literature
* Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
* A reflective, proactive approach to teaching and professional development
