Your new company A well-established and highly respected Insurer with a strong UK and international presence is seeking a Professional Indemnity Claims Adjuster to join its growing claims function, and is offering a collaborative working environment where claims professionals are empowered to take ownership of their work and develop long-term careers. Your new role You will join a small, specialist Professional Indemnity claims team based in the South West of England, working closely alongside an aligned underwriting function and forming part of a wider UK claims team. The role involves handling primary Professional Indemnity risks written across a broad range of professions. Operating within agreed authority levels, you will take responsibility for medium to high‑value and complex claims from initial notification through to settlement. The position includes regular interaction with internal stakeholders across the UK, including periodic involvement in London‑based activities. What you'll need to succeed You will have at least three to five years' experience handling Professional Indemnity claims, ideally within a primary, single‑insurer environment. A sound working knowledge of insurance policy wordings, insurance law and claims strategy is essential, along with the ability to manage a busy caseload of Claims. You will be either fully or partly ACII qualified, or hold a relevant degree, and be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience handling Professional Indemnity claims involving construction, accountants, IT or media professionals would be advantageous but is not essential.
