Peterborough College is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Air & Defence College Coordinator to join our specialist Air & Defence College.This unique role would suit someone with Armed Forces experience who is passionate about developing young people and helping them prepare for careers within the RAF, Armed Forces, emergency services and wider public service sectors.Whether you have experience as a Physical Training Instructor, Training Instructor, NCO, officer, adventurous training leader or military trainer, this is an opportunity to use your skills and experience to make a real difference.About the Role You'll play a key role in preparing students for future careers in the Armed Forces through a combination of teaching, coaching, mentoring and practical activities.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing students for RAF recruitment and selection processesDelivering practical and theoretical training relating to fitness, leadership and military preparationCoordinating student recruitment, enrolment and progressionOrganising enrichment activities, residential trips and expeditionsBuilding relationships with military organisations, employers and external partnersMonitoring student progress and supporting learners to achieve their goalsPromoting the Air & Defence College within schools and the wider communityWhat We're Looking For We're particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have:RAF or wider Armed Forces experienceExperience delivering physical training, adventurous training or military instructionStrong leadership, coaching and mentoring skillsExperience supporting young people to develop confidence, resilience and teamworkExcellent communication and organisational abilitiesA passion for helping learners achieve their ambitionsTeaching qualifications are welcomed, but we also recognise the wealth of training and instructional experience gained through military service.Why work for IEG?Generous Leave: 37 days of annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and Christmas close down.
