Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty. That means we tackle the inequality that keeps people poor. Together we save, protect and rebuild lives. When disaster strikes, we help people build better lives for themselves and others. We take on issues like land rights, climate change, and discrimination against women. And we won’t stop until every person on the planet can enjoy life free from poverty.
Oxfam is a member of 21 organizations working together with partners and local communities in the areas of humanitarian, development, and campaigning efforts in more than 90 countries.

About our Oxfam Shops
Open since 1948, Oxfam shops are central to our charity and community efforts, raising vital funds and increasing public awareness of our work. They are guided by our values of empowerment, accountability, and inclusiveness, and focus on raising funds to support our mission.
The Role of our Shop Managers
Shop managers should be commercially aware, constantly seeking new business opportunities, motivating their teams, and creating a safe and energetic work environment. They hold high standards, have a strong drive to achieve results, and are accountable for their shop’s performance.
The role is empowered, varied, and busy, offering the opportunity to work with dedicated individuals. Shop managers are crucial for our success and can make a significant difference. Oxfam operates a volunteer model, where volunteers are empowered to handle most tasks, including running the shop in the manager’s absence.
Often the only paid staff member, our managers should be comfortable in this environment, enjoy working with others, and excel at delegating tasks. They should be excellent communicators, creative, and proactive in attracting new supporters daily.
Please note: this role is a job share.
Our Values and Commitment to Safeguarding
Oxfam is committed to preventing any form of misconduct, including sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, lack of integrity, and financial misconduct, and to promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment through our code of conduct. We prioritize recruiting individuals who demonstrate and share our values.
