Overview
A client within the Public Sector based in Leicestershire is currently recruiting for a Planning Policy Officer to join their Planning Policy and Land Charges team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a planning environment.
Responsibilities
* Responding to Regulation 18 consultation responses
* Liaising with partners and stakeholders in respect of the evidence base to support the Regulation 19 Local Plan
* Commissioning and managing studies in accordance with the Council\s procurement procedures
* Producing reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Drafting the Regulation 19 Local Plan and supporting documentation
Candidate
Qualifications and experience
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Town Planning or related subject
* Membership (or eligibility for membership) of the RTPI
* Previous local authority planning policy experience
Skills and attributes
* Strong report writing and communication skills
* Proficiency with GIS, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools
* Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
Benefits and remuneration
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering up to £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £25 per hour PAYE).
